Osteria Mozza

Hi blog readers,

Last night I had the most amazing dinner at my new favorite restaurant, Osteria Mozza.  It is my favorite Iron Chefs restaurant, Mario Batali.  For my first course I had delicate mozzarella over a bed of prosciutto.  It was perfect.  I had wild boar ragu with fettuccine, and farmers goat cheese ravioli.  All I could say was Yum.   For my main course I had prosciutto wrapped quail, and my dad had a Fennel pollen coated pork loin with Sanbuca  liqueur flambe.   I had chocolate cake with brandy ice cream, and rosemary olive oil cakes for dessert.  I highly recommend this restaurant, it was amazing.

Antipasti skewwers

Whats better than a savory antipasti/apitizer. Here is what you do .  Take a variety of grilled veggies and bread.  Using 1/2 cup olive oil, 2 teaspoons roasted crushed garlic, and 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar.

Barneys burgers are the best

The best burgers ever are at Barneys. I love there curly fries with the french burger there.

Grahm Craker Crust

Hey I have a super simple way to make graham cracker crust.

4 tablespoons melted butter

20 graham crackers crushed

That’s all you need. What you do is mix ingredients in a large bowl.  Then bake until brown.  Cool on cooling rack and your done.

Recipes from Katies cooking school

Today I went to cooking camp at Katie’s Cooking School.  Here are some of her recipes. Thanks Katie.

Cheese biscuits

2 cups all purpose flour

2   1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. dry mustard

3 Tbsp. butter

2/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese

2 Tbsp. milk

1. preheat oven to 45o degrees. 2. Mix ingredients  in a bowl. 4. put dough on flour surface and knead gently until smooth. 4. Roll out dough until about3/4 of an inch thick and cut into circles.  5. Place on baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes.

Burgers and fries

Hi chefs.  I am going to tell you how to make the most popular food in the US, burgers.  Here is my version of your  average fast food meal. Here is what you need.

3 potatoes

1 tablespoon  garlic

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1/4 cup blue cheese

2 cups cooked spinach

1/2 pound ground turkey

3 french rolls

What you do is preheat oven at three-hundred-fifty degrees.  While your oven is heating cut your potatoes into sticks and drizle them with garlic and oil.  Put your potatoes in the oven for 1 hour.  Next cook spinach in  a pan at medium heat.  Next make pattys out of turkey meat.  Grill pattys until ready then put them on the roll with blue cheese and spinach.

French Toast

Hey chefs today we are going to make french toast.  Here is what you know.

4 pieces of bread

2 eggs

1 cup of sugar

1/4 cinnamon

1 teaspoon vanilla

That is all you need. What you do is coat your bread in eggs and vanilla. Then coat it in cinnamon and sugar.

Quesadilla with goat cheese

Hey world today I will tell you how to make a goat cheese quesadilla.  Here is what you need.

1 cup goat cheese

1 corn tortilla

1/2 roasted tomatoes

That’s all you need to make a goat cheese quesadilla.  What you do is sprinkle your goat cheese and tomatos on the tortilla and cook it at medium heat.
